Stresow Memorial

Due to the special location of the former border region, you can discover many places in the Wendland that remind you of the German division, for example the Stresow memorial. The place Stresow was located directly at the inner-German border and was destroyed as part of the "Aktion Ungeziefer". The original replica of the former GDR border fortifications reminds us today of the sad history of the village.
