March is the time to enjoy the music. Music at all levels. Do you want music? You’ve got music. From baroque concerts to technical music lectures and even exhibits. Junior musicians also get a chance to develop their voices and be heard here -- as soloists or in ensembles. In the spring, it’s Hitzacker that sets the tune.
Spectacular short races with dragon boats or do you prefer long races across two miles of Lake Gartow? It doesn’t matter which you choose. These highlights come to an end with music and a solstice fire.
The Easter egg market of the Wendland in Lübeln is waiting for you. Just dive into the world of the Wendland and let yourself drift a little.
If you are looking for artisans and their finest work, you’ll find exactly that in Satemin. Stroll by the stands and discover the work of professional craftspeople. Seize the day -- the market only happens once a year. Experience delightful pottery, jewelry, and woven and felted crafts.
Private gardens open their gates to you. Visit delightfully designed gardens in the Wendland region while enjoying coffee, cake, and a little snack. Moreover, exhibits and cultural events await.
Discover, experience and enjoy the music. Discover unfamiliar composers and works. Experience chamber music in a festival atmosphere. Enjoy it at Germany’s oldest chamber music festival. Be bold and experience a musical rendezvous here, where music meets dance, literature and film.
The Wendland Summer Academy opens its “gates” each year in August with a program encompassing many crafts and types of art for you to try out and take part in, either for an hour or several days.
Others celebrate the wine harvest -- here it’s the blooming heath. And instead of a wine princess, we have a heather blossom princess. When is the festival? Just as the heath is in bloom. At the end of August you should absolutely experience the Nemitz Heath. Music and dancing are on the agenda. And you can buy local products -- all homemade.
Top quality chamber music and internationally known musicians -- all so you can dedicate yourself fully to the music. Because it’s about the music. And only the music. Listen and share your joy and enthusiasm for music. And there’s not even an entrance fee. Because it’s about the music. And only the music.
