Dömitz Railway Bridge

An old bridge, lonely, no longer in use, in the midst of a picturesque landscape. The stories it could tell. More than one hundred years old, it was once part of an important railway connection in northern Germany. But its destruction in 1945 did not take away any of its charisma. A war memorial and a symbol of the partition of Germany, the bridge and the fortified buildings at both ends take you back to earlier days.
